Steubenville Conferences and Kneeling For Communion

I post a lot of things about kneeling for communion and that might make people feel uncomfortable... SO... I want you to know a little bit about it... BECAUSE IN MOST PLACES communion is taught to be received in the hand and standing... AND here I am some punk "kid" saying something completely contradicting what you have been doing since your childhood and contradicting what is done in most places... SOOOOOOOO

Please take a look. At My comments below. Again this is just an FYI... I don't Judge you and pay little attention... my main concern isn't you... though I want you to know what I wish I knew... My main concern is Jesus and His Real Presence... but anyways take a look...

1) The UNIVERSAL norm for receiving holy communion ANY WHERE in the world is kneeling and on the tongue. Though a Bishops conference has the ability to request that communicants in its country may receive standing the Bishops conference does not over ride the universal norm which is kneeling.
A Bishop can under NO CIRCUMSTANCE require anybody to stand. The preferred posture for the UNIVERSAL i.e. CATHOLIC CHURCH is kneeling... Thus Kneeling is not only licit, but it is fitting.

2)The Prefect from the Congregation from the Discipline of the Sacraments Cardinal Canizares has made it very clear that WE in the Universal Church should be promoting communion kneeling and on the tongue. SO... THat is what I do... but why me? Why not?!?!

3)The Bishops (God Bless them) didn't discern through prayer, study, or any other method that standing is the best posture for the souls of the people or for the dignity of the Sacrament... The posture of receiving standing and the removal of altar rails from churches was not something that was originally done with the approval of the Holy See or the Vicar of Christ. Standing and the removal of altar rails was introduced as an abuse... and only after the abuse was wide spread did the Holy See say... OK if you must... after all those who are elderly can't kneel so its not like it is intrinsically evil... but kneeling is intrinsically more reverent and it is still the UNIVERSAL NORM.... and the removal of altar rails to this day has not been something that the vatican has said to do.

4) If you can't kneel... it is not your fault. God understands... IF you can and don't because you are scared... don't be scared. If you can kneel don't and you despise that I promote kneeling... you really need to examine yourself and ask why? Is it because you have been doing it for so long?

5) It is a clear teaching of the church that we receive Grace according to the mode/disposition of the receiver... AND because we are a union of Body and Soul our dispositions are indeed impacted by our postures.

Again... I am not judging you... I just want you to know why I do what I do... The Church is not perfect... I am not perfect... but I am right about this.
