Greenfield community blocks access road amid concerns over SIOC CDT food parcel distribution
Community members from the Greenfield informal settlement in Postmasburg blocked the only access road earlier today , using burning tyres and rocks, following dissatisfaction over the distribution of food parcels by the SIOC Community Development Trust.
Residents claim that while food insecurity remains widespread across the broader Postmasburg community, only certain households benefited from the recent distribution. The situation has fuelled frustration, with some community members questioning the criteria used to select beneficiaries.
