AXIS Foils ART 1099 first impressions and live review

The biggest (currently) ART wing from AXIS Foils. This was my first ever wave on the ART1099 after watching @Oceanpixels at 95kg pump this wing for 38 mins and had to steal it off him for a quick go. It has so much pump and glide, you can harness such small amounts of energy. That glide and the additional time you gain means this wing is really forgiving for making mistakes. The stall speed is again lower than the 999, as expected, but has a much more gradual initial lift. This wing is buttery smooth and something I will hopefully add to my quiver as soon as it is released. Being lighter at 68kg, the 999 has plenty of pump for me prone surfing, however for SUP downwinding and winging this will become my go to for the lighter days. Can't wait to get my hands on this and test it some more!
