Chaos as car ploughs into iconic fountain in London’s Piccadilly Circus

A car has smashed into Piccadilly Circus roundabout this morning - leaving two people seriously injured and the busy junction completely closed off.

Emergency services raced to the scene in central London the early hours, after a car ploughed into the iconic landmark.

All the roads leading to London's most famous junction have been closed off and the nearby tube station has been left partially closed.
