Microsoft Surface Pro 8 Battery Replacement

Replacing the battery on the Surface Pro 8 is much easier than on the Surface Pro 4, 5, 6, and 7. Microsoft has done away with the strong adhesive that held the battery in place on previous models, and has instead used a design similar to that of the iPhone battery. This means that there is a strip of adhesive that can be pulled out to remove the battery. When pulling out the adhesive, be sure to do so slowly and evenly to avoid breaking it. If the adhesive does break, you can apply a small amount of alcohol to dissolve it, and then use a plastic scraper to remove the battery. This design greatly reduces the risk of fire caused by puncturing the battery during removal.
