November 19 - Allison Janney about her Acting Process

Born in Boston on November 19, 1959, Alison Janney followed the advice of Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman who directed her in a play at Kenyon College, and went on training at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York with Sanford Meisner where she developed her skills, as well as at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she kept nurturing her passion for both the stage.

2018 - Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the film "I, Tonya" as well as the Critic's Choice Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and BAFTA.
2015 & 2014 - Prime Time Emmy Awards - Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for "Mom" as Bonnie.
2014 - Prime Time Emmy Awards - Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series "Masters of Sex" as Margaret Scully.
2009 - Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical for her performance in "9 to 5" as Violet Newstead.
2004, 2002, 2001, 2000 - Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for "The West Wing" as C. J. Cregg
1997 - Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for Noel Coward's "Present Laughter"
