Today, join us for a stroll down Istiklal Street, a street that took shape in the late 19th century and was renamed after Turkey’s independence to commemorate that historic day. As you walk along, you’ll notice the architecture has a touch of ancient Eastern Rome. That’s because it was intentionally designed to keep the grandeur of the past alive.

Imagine strolling over rain-dampened cobblestones, with the reflection of the lights and the iconic red tram passing by every few minutes. This tram has its own story, dating back to the early 20th century, and it’s a beloved symbol of the street. Every few minutes, it passes by, and people pause to take photos, adding to the charm.

As we continue, we’ll also visit two beautiful churches along the way, and the atmosphere after the rain makes everything even more magical. It’s truly a place where history and daily life merge seamlessly.
