How did humanity sink to such an irredeemable level of evil, that the Creator decided to blot out all creation with the Great Flood? And what does Torah mean by the words, 'God had heartfelt sadness, and regretted having created man?' Was omniscient G-d surprised at this turn of events, as if He didn't see it coming? And G-d is not a man…how could He experience sadness and regret?!
The Torah portion of Noach (Gen. 6 : 9 - 11 : 32) is read on Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh Mar Cheshvan - Mar Cheshvan 1 - November 2, 2024
