We were fortunate to have a delivery of good arborist mulch from Ryan Lawn and Tree through ChipDrop. I had planned on using it for sheet mulching a new garden area, but once I saw the quality of the mulch, I knew I wanted to get a headstart on spring garden chores and use it in the long fence border. We still have plenty left for use in other garden beds and for the sheet mulching project.

ChipDrop is a service that connects homeowners with arborists for free, or low-cost, delivery of wood chip mulch. This saves arborist dumping fees and gardeners get sustainable mulch for landscaping. Drawbacks are that you get the whole truckload and sometimes the mulch may not be ground very well and could have a lot of sticks that makes it not ideal for use in garden beds.
