In this video i show when i build my new Wooden Backpack.
It has a built-in table and tool board.
I always want my camp organized and i hate looking for stuff in some bag or stuff sack.
With this i have a table to have stuff on and when i'm not using it i can put it back on the tool board or in its dedicated compartment.
And because it is rigid it will not collapse when taking out stuff from it.
It is lake having a portable workbench in the forest :-)
The frame is made by thin wooden slats (15mmx15mm).
Covered by green fabric.
It is possible to fold down the back that is made from 6mm Plywood, perfect to use as a table.
Behind the plywood it is tool board covered with velcro where i can fix my hatchet, saw, knife, battery charger ans other stuff.
The inner compartments is made by cardboard with foam.
The top fabric can be opened and contains a lot of compartments for larger heavy stuff.
The bottom sides can also be opened, one side i have sleeping stuff and on the other clothes.
On the top it is straps for tent or other stuff.
Shoulder and waist bands are made from my old backpack and screwed to the frame.
The total empty weight of the backpack is 6.3kg (14lbs).
It is about 150L
Cant wait to get out and use it :-)
