She Was the 65th Wife of Warren Jeffs (w/ Briell Decker)

Briell Decker grew up in the FLDS, a Fundamentalist Mormon sect, in a polygamous family with 14 children and two mothers. At 18, she became the 65th wife of Warren Jeffs but later escaped years of abuse by climbing out a window and running barefoot to safety.

Today, Briell is a Certified Peer Support Specialist and advocate, transforming Warren Jeffs’ former 28,000 sq. ft. home into the Short Creek Dream Center, a refuge for survivors of the FLDS. Now happily married and a new mother, she is thriving, healthy, and helping hundreds of women and children rewrite their own stories of hope and freedom.

Her journey from oppression to freedom is nothing short of inspiring. Brielle escaped from a heavily guarded compound and is now a powerful voice for survivors of religious abuse.
