Sewing Your Own Throated Sail Cover: Step by Step Guide

Sew it yourself! The Sailrite® Throated Sail Cover Kit lets you make your own mainsail cover using Sattler® Marine Grade Fabric. Cover and protect your mainsail when flaked with this throated sail cover. The sail cover fastens under the boom with Twist-Lock Fasteners with a snap button finish to provide a clean look and reduce chafing. Secure the cover around the mast with a marine zipper. This sail cover pattern features pre-plotted, long-lasting Sattler fabric for easy construction. Got lazy jacks? Order the Lazy Jack Slit Kit (sold separately – SKU: 126564) along with the sail cover kit, and you can complete the mainsail cover and slits all at the same time. (Leftover thread and Sattler fabric from the Sail Cover Kit must be used to complete the Lazy Jack Slit Kit.)
