Wildlife photography from the self-made FLOATING HIDE is one of the most electrifying experiences You can have. Join me on my adventure trying to photograph Red-Necked grebes from it!


In this video I’m taking my self-built floating hide to photograph waterfowl, such as red-necked grebes (my main target). coots, greylag geese and others. I arrive at the location (fishponds) 1 hour before sunrise. Set up my hide, enter the dry suit and head out to enjoy nature photography at it’s finest. My goal is to take photos of the courtship behavior of the grebes. That display is also known as dancing. Will I get to observe it? Watch till the end to find out ;) I get the opportunity to watch an amazing sunrise, but the birds are hidden in the thick fog and I am having troubles finding any. Finally I decided to photograph fighting coots and capture some action images of those birds.
