Winter Hiking | Utah | Showshoeing Lake Blanche

The boys take the 6-7 mile trip through the snow to hike up to one of the most gorgeous views in all of Utah. Lake Blanche is a true dual threat, featuring great fishing & fantastic rock formations in the Summer, and some of the best backcountry skiing routes in the Winter. We got lucky and got a fresh couple feet of snow in the week leading up to this trip. It was Michael's first time trading in his skis for the snowshoes (although probably unnecessary) just to use them. All you really need in the Winter however is some boot spikes (crampons) to navigate the slippery trail. In the Summer bring your fly rod and be ready for a steep/beautiful hike and some great trout fishing. We hope you are staying safe at home and enjoy this trip with us!
