What remains to be experienced in Vientiane?

I am resolved to not finding what I need in Vientiane. My landlord agreed to being compensated for buying the bike parts online that I needed and delivered to his address. The only snag is finding them online. My brake calipers are made by ONIRII, a Chinese manufacturer, and I'm still waiting for them to reply with instructions on how to purchase brake pads for their FM4 calipers. The fact of the matter is, I can buy a new set of Juin or IIIPRO 4 piston calipers for less than the price of Shimano brake pads. So, I will wait to buy bike parts until I'm in Vietnam.
I am committed to stay in Vientiane for a few more days, so comment on Must See and Must Do experiences before I leave. Maybe I will go back to that floating market on the Nam Ngum River or create an international incident along the Cambodian border... post in the comments.
