Cassidy Mackenzie - Thought I Wanted

Hey guys! Here is song #8 of the year! I found it difficult to write and put out this song but I've always promised to be 100% honest about my experiences and make sure the music reflects me with complete truth. I wrote this about the pain and confusion I felt while I was figuring out my sexuality. I felt an overwhelming sense of shame and guilt and fear while I was figuring it out and felt even more shame for feeling those negative emotions. The song is ultimately meant to send a good message because through a tough time comes a much brighter and happier future.

I'll be putting out the performance/instruments video of this song next week! I'm also thinking of expanding my content to more than just music, maybe talk a little for once haha, so let me know if there's any content that you'd like to see on the channel - would really love to hear your guys' suggestions!
