In this video, I continue my shift from SCHD to T. Rowe Price (TROW)—a Dividend Aristocrat with a strong yield and a bit more volatility than an ETF. That volatility gives me the opportunity to generate income multiple ways: through dividends, covered calls, and cash-secured puts.
I walk through the full trade log from January through March 21st, showing how I:
Started with 150 shares of TROW
Sold a covered call and cash-secured put
Accepted assignment on the put to capture the March dividend
Made live decisions to add shares as the price pulled back
Ended up with 360 shares—and a lower cost basis
This strategy isn’t about hype—it’s about using options conservatively to boost income and build long-term positions.
