MOOREA my dream island | Cinematic travel film French Polynesia

My favourite place in the world is this island. I’ve always dreamed about this place, even when I didn’t know it existed in real life. I still remember the feeling of the first time I’ve set foot in there, those mountains... I remember when we got for the first time in what now is our friends’ place and I could not stop smiling and telling Meghan, who back then was still pregnant of little Hina, how happy I was for being there, that it was so special for me. I remember how we started talking with them more and more, making this amazing bond in such a short time and how I cried on our last day when we left. I didn’t wanna leave there ever.

Then one year later we came back and I can’t even describe how grateful I am for all the experiences and good memories we made in there.
The delicious fresh fish pokes, the night dinners in family having deep conversations or joking about the silliest thing and laughing, sharing photos, making plans, the excitement of seeing whales!! After all those years dreaming about it!! and the happy moments of going out to the ocean, to the shop to get some food or to the mountains together.
Mo’orea has such a power over me. I left a big piece of my heart in there and I’ll always be wishing to be back there.

Mi lugar favorito en el mundo. Siempre soñé con este lugar incluso antes de saber que existía en realidad. Recuerdo la primera vez que puse un pie allí, ver esas montañas desde el ferry o conduciendo por la isla.
Recuerdo la primera vez que llegamos a casa de nuestros ahora amigos, como no podía parar de sonreír y decirle a Meghan, aún embarazada de Hina por aquel entonces, lo feliz que me sentía de estar ahí y lo especial que era para mí ese lugar.
Recuerdo cómo empezamos a hablar más y más con ellos creando este vínculo tan bonito en tan poco tiempo y cómo lloré cuando nos fuimos, no me quería ir nunca de allí.

Un año después volvimos, y no puedo ni explicar lo agradecida que estoy por todo lo que vivimos allí. Los pokes de pescado fresco, las charlas nocturnas en familia a veces muy profundas y a veces bromas tontorronas, las risas, las fotos, los planes, ver ballenas, después de tantos años soñando con ello!! El salir de excursión al mar o a la montaña todos juntos.
Mo’orea tiene un gran poder sobre mi y allí dejé parte de mi corazón y siempre querré volver.
