Happy First Sunday YouTube Family! Welcome to our first service of the year! Today, Pastor Wise launches our new Blueprint Series under our 2026 vision: Church As Unusual . In his sermon, When Church Gets Unusual, we dive into Luke 4.16–21 to see how the presence of Jesus transforms our worship from a Sunday habit into a life-changing encounter. We live in a world of constant stress and chaos—we can no longer afford church as usual. It’s time to move beyond tradition and invite the supernatural power of Jesus into our daily lives. When Jesus shows up, the ordinary is replaced by the supernatural, and the routine is broken by divine intervention.

1. The Power of the Spirit: The first sign of an "unusual" church experience is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Wise explains that the anointing is God’s presence and power working in our flesh to do what only He can do. This anointing serves as a "burden-removing, yoke-destroying" force that breaks chains of addiction, depression, and sickness. He reminds believers that because the Spirit lives within them, they have the authority to speak healing and breakthrough over their own lives.

2. The Proclamation of the Savior: Pastor Wise highlights that Jesus is anointed to proclaim life-changing truth. This proclamation brings:
*Relief to the poor and those who cannot deliver themselves.

*Release to those held captive by spiritual or emotional bondage.

*Restoration through the "Year of the Lord’s Favor" (The Year of Jubilee), where debts are canceled and what was lost is returned.

3. The Promises of the Scripture: Finally, Pastor Wise notes that when Jesus said, "Today this scripture is fulfilled," He moved the Word from information to experience. The Bible isn't just a history book; its promises—like providing for every need and ensuring no weapon formed shall prosper—are active and performable today for those who encounter God.
