Summary
Bangladesh is a South Asian lower middle income country. A huge number of End Stage Kidney Disease patients in Bangladesh have no access to renal replacement therapy because of lack of facility or financial inability. Amongst those who initiate Renal Replacement Therapy, many of them burnout financially. This is a painful experience for a nephrologist like me who is working in Sylhet, Bangladesh. This is a true story of Maintenance Hemodialysis patient, Mr Jonendra, who is fighting a dual war, one is with disease itself and the other is poverty. Informed consent has been taken from the patient. Appropriate permission has been taken from the hospital authority. Year of making is 2018.
