Dan Air, Air Europe, British Island Airways, Britannia, Monarch, British Airtours, British Caledonian......Anybody "of a certain age" and beyond will remember the aircraft and airlines of the 1980s and the spectators area at Gatwick South Terminal with the fantastic views it gave across the apron and runway.
Here are some pictures dedicated primarily to aircraft operated by Dan Air at Gatwick during the late 1980s. Hopefully they will bring memories back of those sights sounds and smells of aircraft of that age.
