Thousands of Cubans rallied in front of the U.S. embassy in Havana Friday to protest America’s military activity in Latin America and pay tribute to the 32 Cuban military officers killed in the U.S. attack on Venezuela.
“It's been a long time since we Cubans have experienced a moment of such sadness and, at the same time, such pride, because we know our brothers fought hard. The least we can do for those who made the ultimate sacrifice is to be here," a resident said.
Tension between the U.S. and Cuba has risen following the attacks on Venezuela, marking a new low in relations.
