ASTM B117 Salt Spray Corrosion Test on 20 Metal Cleaning, Lubrication, and Protection Products

An unbiased test to determine what is the best cleaning, lubricating, and anti-corrosion product to use on your firearms, knives, tools, or other metal parts and equipment. This experiment pushes these chemicals to their limits (and beyond) to see how well they can prevent or resist corrosion / rusting on steel plates in a highly corrosive environment.

A variation of the ASTM B117 5% Salt Spray (Fog) test was performed on the following products to determine which is the best on the market:
