The Cumbres & Toltec 50th anniversary started off with a bang. The railroad brought back rotary snowplow OY, and ran a two-day excursion from Chama to Cumbres.

The 97-year-old machine performed flawlessly, and the ticket holders had two vastly different days to chase. Day 1 saw sunny skies and 14 runbys, while Day 2 saw a weather system move in, and more snow for plowing.
