Allure of the Seas Day 5 | Rome | Caribbean Night | Royal Caribbean 2025

Hi everyone,

In this week's Allure of the Seas #royalcaribbean vlog we arrive into Civitavecchia. We had an express train to Rome booked through Royal Caribbean to make sure we wouldn't miss the ship if there were any problems.

We started with a quick breakfast at Park Cafe which was a great start to the day! We then went to Studio B to join our excursion group ready for our full Day in Rome / Vatican City. We got the express train and started the day in Vatican City at St Peter's Basilica. We were really impressed and moved looking around the Basilica and this was definitely a major highlight of the day. We would pay to go to the other sections and spend more time here next time.

We then bought a ticket for the hop on hop off bus to help us get to see as much as possible with the few hours we had here. We went over to see the Spanish Steps, this is probably a one and done for us! We then were quite thirsty so had a quick stop off at Hard Rock Cafe Rome for a Peroni and had a quick look at some of the memorabilia.

After this we may our way over to the Trevi Fountain. This was very impressive but very crowded. We are glad we came to see this but it was a little overwhelming. Thankfully the queue didn't take too long to get to the front section. It was very beautiful to see in person.

We then had a slice of pizza to take with us on our walk over to the Rome Colosseum. Again next time we would like to get tickets to go inside but we really enjoyed seeing it from the outside. So many impressive things to see and we were so happy with what we managed to do in such a short time. It was then time for us to get back to the ship.

When we got back on board we got ready for the evening festivities. Tonight it was Caribbean Night so we got our best and brightest outfits on! We go to the Royal Promenade to watch the Bob Marley tribute and had a drink in the Bow and Stern. We then headed over to the Pesky Parrot for a couple of drinks enjoying taking in all the atmosphere.

We are then ready for our evening meal and decide to go to the Windjammer buffet again to save some time. We had a good mix of food some Caribbean themed and others are the classics! We really did enjoy the choice in here.

After food we went back to the Bow and Stern English Pub for the pub quiz. We just about managed to get a seat, this was a very popular place for a quiz! We didn't win and I think this was the hardest quiz we did but we did enjoy taking part.

We went to Schooner Bar for the favourite cocktail the tropical sidecar and see some of the Caribbean Night Street Party festivities taking place. Lots of dancing and learning dances. We decided to just watch from Schooner Bar for this one but there was some great music playing. We also went to the Silent Disco but this time we didn't really know the songs that were playing so we left after a short while.

We quickly nip into Dazzles to see Pavy and The Boogie Boys and then finish the night in the Mason Jar with the Country Crew Trio who were amazing as always. It was a bit quieter on other nights probably because it was the Rome day. #allureoftheseas is such an amazing ship and we can't wait to share more of the #cruisevlogs with you!
