This time, we’re exploring Korean weddings and a unique tradition called chug-ui-geum (축의금), which means giving money to the bride and groom.
Unlike Western weddings that often last all day, Korean weddings are short, usually around one hour. But what really makes them special is the meaning behind the money—sometimes it shows closeness, sometimes it feels like an obligation, and sometimes it even creates awkward situations. ☺️
