WATER JADE | Icy Green Jadeite Jade Pricing, Quality, and Identification

“Water jade” is a trade term, which means it’s not an established scientific term.
It’s subjective depending on the seller or customer.

There are three meanings of water jade:
1- Water Jade as a COLOR of jade: Icy green jadeite jade (light tone, highly translucent)
2- Water Jade as a LUSTER of jade: A luster/surface texture that looks wet.
3- Water Jade as a VARIETY of Guatemalan blue-green jadeite jade.

In this video, Jordan uses the term "water jade" to refer to icy green jadeite jade of any origin, with any luster. Definitions of water jade vary depending on the seller, so don't be afraid to ask for clarification when shopping.
