After checking various websites, it now seems that this was a planned 'break down'. If you are in the UK you can currently watch TNT on Channel 4's website (http://www.channel4.com/programmes/tn.... There was a sketch near the end of the show where the presenters interviewed 'Michael Jackson'. While this show was being broadcast, the real Michael Jackson was in a hospital either dead or dying.
