Back in April, Betton Grange visited Llangollen for our Branchline Weekend. We were lucky enough to be able to fix a camera to the loco to record a full journey to Corwen. Comment below if you'd like us to do more of these with our other locomotives.
Betton Grange was newbuild locomotive project which originated at Llangollen, back in the dark beforetimes of 2004. Although the frames and cab were cut form new material, the project brought in components from multiple other preserved GWR locos.
Since moving to Tyseley in its finishing stages, Betton Grange has gone on to operate at a number of different Heritage Railways, mainly based at Tyseley.
Now having successfully returned to Steam, Llangollen Railway Trust was thrilled to have the engine here, if only for a short visit.
Keep an eye out for that dramatic ride through the Berwyn Tunnel.
