In this vlog, we explore Libreville, the capital of Gabon, and try to uncover what makes this place so unique.

Our journey begins with a walk from Libreville airport to the Bay of Kings, taking in the city’s early impressions. It's a beautiful walk and we highly suggest it to anyone who doesn't shy away from a stroll along the beach. Finding a place to stay wasn’t easy—Libreville is one of the most expensive cities in Africa, and tracking down an affordable hotel was a mission of its own.

After we got to the hotel, we kept walking, winding through the local markets of Libreville. We stumbled upon a surprise at the Church of St. Michael of Nkembo—a music video shoot happening inside this iconic landmark.

Midday brought a sudden shift. While strolling down Libreville’s main street, we got caught in a classic tropical rainstorm, luckily we managed to escape by hiding in a small local beer bar.

Still, the highlight of our trip was a hike through Arboretum Raponda Walker, just outside the city. The trail led us to what might be Gabon’s most beautiful beach—untouched, wild, and worth the sweat.

As our time in Libreville wrapped up, we hit the road again—leaving the capital behind and heading south toward the Congo border.
