Filmed from the boat launch at Lake Minnetonka Regional Park. This is the location I couldn’t film on Saturday, October 12 because the dock and boat launch were busy. The views for filming with the least foliage in the way were either over the dock or over the boat ramp, so I went back on a weekday to try to catch them not busy. I ended up at Surfside Park on Oct. 12—it’s on this same lake. Lake Minnetonka and its connected lakes create a vast, sprawling lake system with many bays, coves, beaches, and boat launches.

At the end of the video, there is a clip of outside and inside the Schmid house that’s on the park property. It was a farmhouse before the era of wealthy resorts and estates on Lake Minnetonka.
