It's time to hand feed some minnow baitfish to the bass. The smallmouth and largemouth bass have become fairly tame and will come to me when they see me. This has made feeding the bass fun. I've been feeding the baitfish a pellet food to grow the bait, and they have also become well trained to receive the food. The bass then wait in the distance while the minnows feed and try to ambush the minnows. I also add a packet of pond dye to the pond. The pond dye helps control weed growth in the backyard bass pond.
