Guadagnini’s ffs are fascinating. On the one hand they follow a clear and simple geometric logic. On the other hand, they end up in the “wrong” place relative to where the bridge needs to be. He stuck to this for a bunch of instruments, but then eventually went back to putting them in the “right” place. I can’t pretend to understand what he was thinking. For this instrument I’m sticking with the strict geometric ratio layout Guad used, and accepting that the notches in the ffs will be off.
