For the longest time, it was so difficult for me to figure out how to draw torso tilts until I came across this technique. I bet that I probably learned it from reading an art book or in a college class, but I can't remember where specifically. I was delighted to discover how well it applies to this workflow for creating torso tilts. Parts of this video you may find unique or interesting:
57- Make a Guides drawing layer where you can add a bunch of straight lines to help you line up features between the different views.
16- Posing the Front Down torso tilt.
44- Thinking about a cylinder tilting in perspective.
25- How to handle deformers that are crystalizing or breaking as they pinch together.
22- Using reference photos.
29- Using the Mouth_Builder_Peg.
35- Tracking smaller face details.
22- Use Hide Manipulator Controls to hide the bounding box around your art. Sometimes it can get a little distracting, especially on smaller pieces.
41- Tracking the arms through the tilt.
15- I forgot to add deformers to the Hat_Brim. This is how I would go back through and add more deformers to a rig with a lot of keyframes already on it. Don't skip this step!
17- What happens when you delete the Display you are using to look through in the Camera? What does Display All do?
03- Copying the updated Main Front pose back to the original turnaround.
35- Animating a squat. Keeping feet planted instead of slipping.
45- What to do if you are using the Transform Tool with Peg Selection Mode and your Forward and Backward a Keyframe shortcuts are not working.
22- Posing out the Quarter-Front tilts.
38- Using the Coordinate Toolbar to help solve z-depth issues.
27- Touching up the tween, eyeballing the features.
50- Doing a sketchy drawover to strengthen the pose and add more appeal.
18- Manually creating some perspective guides.
46- Using the Mouth_Builder_Peg.
33- Touch up all three downward tilts.
02- Tracking the facial feature details.
22- Creating an Almost-Profile view to fix z-depth issues with the back eye. Doing this is extremely important when preparing to create Master Controllers.
