Rachmaninoff Suite No. 2 For Two Pianos Op. 17 (Argerich, Freire) (Better Score - Reupload)

This is a Reupload of the original score video of this piece uploaded two months ago (my most viewed video)! The score video was hard to make and the score had minor errors (imperfect and noticeable transitions which can disrupt the flow to the music for listeners (a good example of the bad transition was in the third movement after the loud climax). I use transitions to combine many small screen recordings of The sheet music. If I make a mistake, I make another recording. In addition, the original video had synchronization issues (with the score and video often at the end of the page and the page turns were lagging behind the audio. Furthermore, since I took screenshots of the sheet music video by Victor Nikolaev of Lugansky and Rodenko’s performance of the piece, the quality was not crisp.

All of these problems were prompty fixed and I made a new score video from scratched. For the quality, I took screenshots of the score from IMSLP and trimmed them which resulted in a crispier higher quality image.

I improved the transitions and they’re barely noticeable. It is now one long 20 minute video.

I made a significant improvement on the syncronisation between the audio and the sheet. It is not 100% perfect but I consider it as good as professional score video channels!

As previously mentioned, this is an amazing performance by two great legends. RIP to Nelson Freire. The syncronisation between them especially in the 2nd movement is unparalleled. They blend in so well and each piano sings when needed. In my opinion, this performance has much better sound, clarity, dynamics, and energy than the Lugansky-Rodenko version although it is still really good. The tempo isn’t fast enough for my taste though.
