Pok Vada Recipe
Ingredients
Coarsely crushed Jowar pok - 1 cup
Vati dal khaman crushed -2 cups
Jowar flour -3 tbsp
Coarse gram flour -4 tbsp
Chopped coriander -1/2 cup
Chopped onion-1/2 cup
Choppe Green garlic - 1/2 cup
Ginger chilli paste -2 tbsp
Sugar -2 tbsp
Salt -1/2 tbsp
Crushed white part of garlic -1tbsp
Jowar pok -3 tbsp
Water if required for batter.
Oil - for frying
** Optionally crushed gathias can be used if vati Dal khaman is not available.
Method:-
1. Heat oil in frying pan.
2. Mix all the ingredients for the Vada and make dumpling shaped vadas as shown in the video.
3. Fry the vadas on high heat first and then on low heat. Fry till golden brown and crisp.
4. Serve hot with green chutney
The seasonal delights of winter are based on greens and pok happens to be one such favourite. Presenting the Pok Vada, try it to believe it.
