The Derp Crew has decided to try out another game that promotes the idea of competitive play among one another. Although this time we on a racetrack instead of on a battlefield. Mario Kart 8 recently launched for the Wii U (May 30th...My Birthday!) and we came to the conclusion that it was a game that needs to be recorded simply because of the constant stream of Shenanigans that plagues the series and its players. There will be lots of laughs, lots of frustrations, and lots of bullshit. We hope you enjoy...we know we slightly did hah.

The series will also receive very little editing (Much Like the Worms Series) Just trimming the lobby time to get the next games going as fast as possible...and if you happen to be reading this description...I hope that's okay. Actually...if your reading this, include the word "Koopa" in your comment. I'd like to know haha

Mario Kart originally came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in the early 90's and even from a young age it was one of my favorites. Now, I never had a SNES, but my aunt did...and let me tell you...between Mickeys Quest, Super Mario World, and Mario kart...I was really hoping my aunt would adopt me, that is how much I adored this game haha.

A lot has changed since it's inception though...there are even a lot of changes from the previous 3DS title as well. (Mario Kart 7) One thing that I have realized is that the game now puts an emphasis on actual racing instead of the items. Which is good and bad. Since there are a lot of cart customization options, no two people will ever be on equal ground essentially meaning that some Karts will just be down right superior. Also, No longer can you be in last place and still make it to the top spot just by getting a few items. You need to memorize the maps, and hope an almighty shitstorm reigns upon first place because items generally seem less potent. Meaning...if you're stuck in last...you'll probably be finishing in last.

There also seems to be some item inbalances as well. The Star Power is absolutely useless, while bullet bill is overpowered to an extreme. I'm hoping a patch comes out to balance some things after Nintendo gets feedback, but knowing Nintendo...that wont happen

Still, this isn't meant to be a super realistic racing game, it's meant to be a fun and silly experience, and I feel they definitely nailed that.
