There are lots of pretty mountains in Málaga, but La Maroma stands out. You see it from many different parts of the province, and each face looks amazing. La Maroma is also a border between Malaga and Granada. There is a dip in the mountains which has a pass linking the two provinces.
To see the mountain in its full glory, the hills on the southern side provide a fantastic viewpoint. On one such hill, there’s a Buddhist retreat and Kalachakra Stupa, which attracts many visitors.
Canillas de Aceituno is a charming village located on the mountain with
El Pantano is a lovely lake in Vinuela and features in the last set of scenes in the clip where I was trying to capture that full moon over the calm water.
