Welcome to Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania – one of the least explored countries in West Africa. In this video, I take you through the bustling local markets, street scenes, and unique local food culture of the city. But vlogging here wasn’t easy – many locals didn’t like being filmed, and some were especially uncomfortable with an Indian vlogger recording in public.

Despite the challenges, I continued my journey to capture the real vibe of Nouakchott. After exploring the city, I returned to my hotel for a quick rest. Later, I took a local taxi to grab some coffee and food at a nearby café.

Towards the end of the video, I share some interesting history and facts about Mauritania – from its desert culture to its unique position in West Africa.
