Who Can Benefit from SitnStand?
Veterans: Many #veterans face mobility challenges due to injuries or conditions acquired during their service.
The #Elderly: As we age, conditions like #arthritis and general weakness can make standing up from a seated position difficult.
Individuals with Neuromuscular Conditions: Including Parkinson's, ALS, Inclusion Body #Myositis, #MuscularDystrophy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT), and those undergoing pre or post knee surgery.
----------------------------
How SitnStand can help people with LGMD?
-Ease of Movement: LGMD often impairs the ability to stand up from a seated position. SitnStand provides support to ease this transition, making it less physically demanding.
-Reduced Muscle Strain: The device helps minimize the effort required to stand, reducing strain on weakened muscles and preventing fatigue.
-Enhanced Stability: SitnStand offers stability during the standing process, which can be particularly valuable for those with balance issues due to LGMD.
-Improved Independence: By facilitating easier and safer standing, SitnStand can help individuals with LGMD maintain greater independence in their daily activities.
-Portability: SitnStand’s lightweight and compact design make it easy to use in different environments, whether at home, in a car, or in public spaces.

Sitting Exercises:
Seated Leg Extensions: Sit in a chair, extend one leg straight, hold briefly, and lower. Repeat with the other leg to strengthen quadriceps.
Seated Marches: Lift one knee at a time while seated, alternating legs. This improves hip flexor strength and circulation.
Seated Arm Circles: Extend arms to the sides and make small circles. Reverse direction after 15 seconds to enhance shoulder mobility.
Standing Exercises:
Supported Standing Up: Stand from a chair or use grab bars for support. This strengthens legs and improves stability.
Standing Heel Raises: Raise and lower your heels while standing with support. This strengthens calves and aids balance.
Side Leg Lifts: Lift one leg to the side while holding onto support. Repeat with the other leg to strengthen hip abductors and improve balance.
Tips:
-Warm-Up and Cool Down.
-Listen to Your Body.
-Work with a physical therapist or healthcare provider to ensure exercises are appropriate and effective for individual needs.

The innovative SitnStand rising seat can be used in any room in the home and fits neatly into a bag so that it can be used in the wider community and on holiday. It is battery-powered and provides a stable and controlled height-adjustable platform so controlled sit-to-stand transfers can be achieved, whilst reducing the risk of falls and musculoskeletal strains.
Expertly developed over a decade by the Israeli specialist innovator Life Assistant Ltd, this lightweight and transportable solution is ideal for older users and those with limited mobility, facilitating safe standing within the home and the wider external environment.
