Vlogging-ish : Glärnisch "Glärnischhütte", Glarus, Switzerland

A hike for all ages. This hiking path in the Canton of Glarus is suitable for both kids and adults a like. Aside from the fact that the hiking path towards the hut is doable, it is also a picturesque one.

Head towards the Municipality of Riedern in Glarus and go directly to Klöntal, Rhodannenberg. Here you will find the famous Klöntalersee. If hiking is not your thing then why not spend the day in the lake. You will certainly not be disappointed.

From Klöntal / or from the lake start your hike towards the village of Chäseren. And from there, start your ascend to Werben and simply follow the hiking path. The area will leave you astonished as this opens up to an amazing landscape of the valley and a series of magnificent waterfalls.

As one goes further up, make sure to take in the view and enjoy the scenery. There might be some steep walking paths however as long as you keep a good grip and make sure you are well balanced then its you good.

Once you've reached the Glärnischhütte which is 1,990 meters high, you should be able to get some rest and enjoy a good meal or coffee before you either go further or head back.

From the Glärnischhütte SAC, one can go further higher either towards Vrenelisgärtli (Verena's Little Garden) which is 2,904 meters high or head towards the Glärnischfirn (Glärnischgletscher or Glarnisch Glacier) and end the hike there as you take in the amazing view of the valley from that point.
