98% DR Techsec ×4 + Microcosm — Insane Hunter/Tether Damage Loop (Day-1 Contest Ready)

This build stacks Techsec ×4 with Microcosm as your main damage tool, plus Hunter class-item perks for insane survivability and nonstop ability spam. Techsec’s set bonus massively increases Kinetic damage vs shields, overshields, constructs, and vehicles, letting Microcosm instantly delete shielded targets and disorient enemies on shield-breaks or kills on non–red bars.

Microcosm itself deals bonus shield damage and generates Super energy on final blows — combined with Techsec, even high-tier enemies melt. I ran this setup in Ultimate BG Core, which is genuinely one of the hardest activities in the Portal playlist (especially the final boss), and this build completely steamrolled it.

Class Item Perks

• Spirit of Renewal — Grants Frost Armor inside your Duskfield and reduces enemy damage output by 50% inside the field.
• Spirit of the Cyrtarachne — Grants Woven Mail on grenade use, adding another massive DR layer.

How it Plays

At 200 Weapon stat, Microcosm functions like a sustained primary — great ammo economy and absurd shield damage. Combine it with Hunter Tether for an endless control and DPS loop:
Tether → Microcosm spam → final blows → Super energy refund → repeat.
The result? Nonstop DPS, near-unkillable durability, and guaranteed boss deletion. This will be a top-tier pick for the upcoming Contest Dungeon, especially with Tether receiving buffs.

Why It Will Become Beyond Broken in Renegades

Renegades’ artifact perks take this build to another level:
Withering Blade will apply Weaken, turning every hit into a 15% debuff.
Then you will get Devour on killing weakened combatants with this Build your Devour uptime becomes almost permanent, giving huge healing on top of your already insane DR.
Devour also will help build up Duskfield grenade regen on kills, helping you keep Renewal’s Frost Armor and DR active.
Multiple Kinetic weapon damage perks make Microcosm even stronger.
Tether is getting buffed, improving add control, damage uptime, and loop consistency.

This will legitimately be one of the strongest Hunter builds in Renegades, and easily one of my best Hunter builds I’ve ever made.
