The Kellogg's BMX Championship was a hugely popular TV Series hosted by Mick Brown and Andy Ruffell. The show was broadcast on the UK's Channel 4 in 1984 (Track Wars 1) and 1985 (Track Wars 2). The worlds biggest BMX racing stars from the USA and Europe took part and it ran over six weeks at tracks all over the UK with a record Pro purse for the time. Old School stars like Stu Thomsen, Gary Ellis, Eddy King, Andy Ruffell, Tim March, Geth Shooter, Andy Patterson, Brian Patterson, Nelson Chanady, Eric Rupe, Harry Leary RIP, Tommy Brackens, Mike Miranda, Clint Miller, Greg Hill, Eddie Fiola, Mike Dominguez and many more took part over the two series.
Track Wars 1 was recorded in 1984 over 6 weeks at a number of different tracks in the UK (Hounslow, Wigan, Senneleys park in Birmingham and Gateshead). Track wars 2 was recorded in 1985 over 6 weeks. They used the custom BMX track in Senneleys park in Birmingham from track wars 1 and changed the layout for each episode.
