The quintet performs Stablemates at a GuitarRama concert on Oct 7th 2019.
GuitarRama is arranged and hosted by Kwella and presents six concerts during 2019/20 with a number of very different guitar soloists from various genres.The project is a collaboration between The Royal Conservatory of Music in Aalborg (DK) and Center For Dansk Jazzhistorie in Aalborg (DK).
The soloist are backed by Kwella on guitar and a rhythm group consisting of students at the soloist programme at the conservatory. There are also guest appearances by some of the conservatorys guitar students.
The soloist on Oct 7th 2019 was John Stowell (US) who has played and taught internationally for over 40 years. His original take on harmony, chords and improvisation sets him apart.
