New Brighton boasts the UK's longest promenade at just over 2 miles!

The New Brighton Promenade is situated on the top right corner of the Wirral peninsula, overlooking Liverpool.

The area offers a superb panoramic view across the Mersey River and is a lovely place for a stroll.

Attractions along the New Brighton Promenade include the Art Deco Bright Spot Amusement and Funfair ride complex with activities such as go-karting.

Every year in July, the Wirral Show Weekend takes place in the promenade.

There is a 19th century Grade II listed Perch Rock Fort and a Perch Rock lighthouse.

Children can play around the Black Pearl, a community-built driftwood boat.

The resort of New Brighton has been popular since the mid-19th century. There is now a leisure development called Marine Point, with shops, restaurants, theatre and a cinema.

New Brighton Beach, also called Wallasey Beach is in Wallasey, Merseyside, England, UK. It is situated north-east of the Wirral peninsula.

The beach consists of 3/4 miles of golden sand. In the summer months it is a popular destination.

Striking views over the Liverpool city skyline can be seen from the beach as well as ships sailing out from the Mersey estuary into the Irish Sea.
