Only 569 Firehawks built total. First time a convertible was available- only 102 made and only 4 of those were purple! Listed in the registry. It has the $6,495 R6V Firehawk option which was installed by SLP. It also has the optional $1,195 SLP exhaust for 15 extra hp and SLP floormats. This one has only 30,570 actual miles and looks like it just came from the factory. The same owner, a Firehawk collector, the last 19 years.

EXTERIOR: The convertibles had taller tire on a 16 inch wheel because the loss of a solid roof made the body more flexible, a taller tire absorbed some of the twist. The body appears to be in excellent shape. No rust or damage. The original paint is still very nice. Upfront the rubber bumper doesn't have any damage but there are some nicks that have been touched up. It has pop up headlights. The functional ram air composite hood is part of the Firehawk package. This one proudly displays a 315 hp decal on it. Looking down the sides they're both straight. Rear bumper has no damage. It has a power antenna. The rubber window seals and weatherstrips are still excellent. Jambs are clean. The glass is excellent. The convertible top is black cloth in excellent shape. I was surprised to see it is a power top too. It has a clean looking hard boot that is easy to install.

INTERIOR: It is in excellent condition. I'm sitting in the car right now and I really can't find anything wrong with it to tell you about. Even the light gray carpets are still very clean. The optional Firehawk carpeted mats are in the trunk and look new. It has not been smoked in, I checked the lighter and the ashtrays. There are no cracks in any of the plastic or the dash. There isn't really any wear showing on anything. It has the factory premium stereo with an equalizer and a CD player and it has the premium speakers. Features include a/c, steering wheel controls, cruise control, tilt, delay wipers, power windows, locks and mirrors. In the glovebox is the sticker with all the option codes and the pouch with manuals. The Firehawk plaque is in the console, this is car #594. I know they only built 569 but they were going to build 1,000 and assigned random #s to the cars.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This has the factory LT-1 350-275 hp motor which was raised to 300 hp by SLP by adding the Corvette cold air induction system. A seperate SLP option is the performance stainless exhaust which brings it to 315 hp, more then the Vette! Everything looks like it did when sold new. It is clean and unmolested.
