Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations: Hazakura Temple (16-bit SNES Arrangement)

Alright, so here's the start of a series of covers I'll be releasing where I experiment with different things both with my music skills and the SNES hardware, with this one here being an experiment in terms of genre

For this one, I specifically wanted to try and figure out what exactly is the very specific kind of style most Japanese VGM go for wherever you're exploring some kind of Japanese themed shrine or temple based off, mainly which genre it is and what instruments it uses I suppose; in particular, the instrument at the very beginning (which I know now is called a Shō) has eluded me for the longest time, mainly cuz I really like the unique sound and tone it gives, and that I always hear it being used in this exact kind of music (which btw I also now know that it's mostly based around a genre called Gagaku, though in this case it maybe might be more loosely based on it than other examples I heard)

Other than that, choosing all the other instruments (including the Koto and Shakuhachi, which I'm already well aware of) and the overall arrangement itself was fairly easygoing, it was really just the amount of research I had to do just to understand how this kind of music works that was the hard part here, but regardless I am fairly happy that I do know about this now and will certainly be using this knowledge in the near future :P
