These G80 locking axles aren't picky about fluid, they don't require any special gear oil, and they don't require limited slip additives, however fluid that contains LSD additives won't hurt them.
I've chosen Redline 75w90 gear oil for my truck. In my opinion Redline is the best of the best when it comes to automotive fluids. You don't change drivetrain fluids very often, so it's my stance that spending a little more on quality lube is warranted.
