Yosemite - The North Rim (Silent Hiking)

This trip takes me up Yosemite Falls where I traverse the North Rim. In the process I visit Yosemite Point, North Dome, Indian Arch, and then follow Snow Creek back to Mirror Lake and "The Valley".

This video is a entirely different style than I typically use. It's a style that I decided to borrowed from an idol of mine - Harmen Hoek. If you haven't seen his work I encourage you to look him up here on YouTube. I personally find his work to be immersive and incredibly inspiring. Of course I do a VERY rudimentary job in my effort here and, to be frank, it's not a style I plan on continuing for most of my videos. I say that for two reasons. First of all, the amount of effort and equipment required is beyond my ability. And second, it makes the trip more about recording than it does just enjoying the my time in the mountains. Harmen is clearly a different kind of beast and I envy his stamina, his eye for light, and his overall film making ability. Again, this is my small tribute to him and his work. I hope you enjoy.
