16 Days of Activism Against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) 2025

Theme: UNiTE! End Digital Violence Against All Persons, Especially Women and Girls

The Auxano Foundation Children and Youth Department proudly presents a youth-led advocacy vodcast series for the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence. This year’s focus highlights digital abuse, online safety, and the growing risks children and young people face in today’s digital world.

In this special edition, our young ambassadors—representing boys, girls, children with disabilities, and minority groups—use their voices to promote awareness, challenge harmful online behaviour, and encourage safer digital environments for all children across Nigeria.

This advocacy series addresses issues such as:

1. Online exploitation and unsafe digital practices
2. Cyberbullying and hate-based violence
3. Sextortion and digital manipulation
4. Discrimination and harmful gender norms
5. Risks associated with sharing personal information online
6. ...and more!

Through these messages, our youth remind society that:

a. Boys can be victims too—speaking out is strength.
b. Children and young people with disabilities deserve equal protection and safety.
c. Digital actions have consequences—protect your online dignity and privacy.
d. Hate, abuse, and toxic masculinity are unacceptable and harmful.
e. Every child has the right to safety, respect, and a life free from violence.

This video is part of our ongoing collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Justice, the Joint Case Team on Cybercrime (JCTC), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the Tabitha Empowerment Centre (TEC)—working together to strengthen prevention, protection, and advocacy for safer online and offline spaces.

We invite the public to follow our daily youth-led vodcasts throughout the 16 Days campaign as we amplify young voices and promote safe, respectful, and inclusive digital behaviour.
